What People Talking About Our Book

”Kim King’s book is so important and timely. It is intended to help parents teach their children how to recognize people who might potentially be dangerous without discouraging normal exploration. Curiosity is natural. When young children discover that they are different, curiosity and exploratory behavior are a natural response. By accepting children's natural curiosity about sexuality and gender differences as normal and healthy, parents build a basis for positive attitudes towards sexuality. However, there are also real dangers, such as adults who abuse children, and older children who take advantage of younger children. So parents also need to teach their children how to recognize and respond to real danger. This book helps parents do just that. It is lifesaving.”
DR. SANDRA CARON
Professor of Family Relations and Human Sexuality, University of Maine

”Approachable and eye-opening Compassionate, approachable, and eye-opening advice that will surely decrease the risk of child sexual abuse for any kid whose parent reads this book and follows its recommendations.

”As a survivor of childhood abuse / trafficking, a former law enforcement officer, and an instructor on violence prevention, I can easily say that this book is incredible! Ms King provides so many amazing angles on protecting children (whether they are yours or whether you're a caretaker or teacher). She explains things in such an easy to understand way, every mom, dad, guardian, and teacher, regardless of their age or experience, will be able to provide a safer environment for the children they care about. On top of that, Ms King does an incredible job of teaching adults how to respond to their children if/when something does happen, so that the child feels comfortable and safe enough to disclose any inappropriate contact, activities, requests, or online challenges. That section alone is worth the price of the book, because if a child is afraid to disclose to you, it may be years before they do disclose, before they get help, and before the perpetrator is held accountable for what was done to your child. This really is an amazing book that will help you keep your children safe from predators, traffickers, and others who may intend to do inappropriate things with or to the children you love and care for!”
